I was a central district officer and participated with central district business. I took over when this stuff started. I wan't happy with the direction the association was going so I made it easy to have a reason not to do state business. I supported harry until I heard him flat lie to the association at the convention.

Even if that were the whole story, it will never be the whole reason any of the clubs left. In fact, every club left for slightly different reasons is my guess. The smoke screen is to always point to the Bakers, because that is way easier than finding out the facts. So, when folks say mean things, point fingers and carry on, it doesn’t do a lot to address the real issues and those that caused those issues get to continue nearly unobserved. Which is fine, if that is what folks want.

Many people did! They did try! They voiced their issues, some offered corrective action that could have been tried. No real change occurred. Myself, any input I gave, I feel it was met with indifference if not resistance (and even rudeness).

There is a point where one gives up trying. You ask for a “divorce.”

Please remember that whole clubs voted to leave, no just one person here and there with whom you could debate those individual choices. Whole clubs, talked about the issues, and voted so as to indicate those issues were significant enough to leave CA4WDC, about $45,000 or 15- 20% of the CA4WDC budget worth of them.

Had all those who such strong feelings about the clubs leaving spoken up 12 months ago, asked questions, discussed the issues and worked to correct the gaps, this would not be happening. Now you again have an opportunity to speak up, but not to us because that won’t fix anything. Telling us what you think we did wrong just makes us feel better about leaving.

First sorry to have offended. This is a serious issue and I failed to understand that.

It would seem as if no one is listening, are any board members monitoring this forum, if so, why don't they respond? Perhaps they are responding privately to the posts?

DennisDawg you mention divorce. Have you heard the old saying, "Do you know why divorce is expensive? Because it's worth it." Is it possible that the board is happy that these clubs have left and are willing to sustain the loss of revenue, so that they don't have to deal with people who ask questions? If that's the case, then they must have a plan to replace the money and the volunteers they are losing? Mustn't they?
