The Safety Award is to be given to the member club in good standing that has demonstrated outstanding achievements and commitment to safety awareness and concern. Items to be considered prior to granting the award include, but are not limited to: hosting off highway safety training seminars, participation in off highway safety clinics put on by other clubs, volunteer work in promoting safety awareness of members and non-members of Cal4Wheel, distribution of Cal4Wheel produced safety materials, and setting good examples for others to follow.

It is the responsibility of each member club interested in receiving this coveted award to make an application for the award. A separate application must be made each year. The application in the form of an essay must be submitted to Cal4Wheel office no later than December 31 of the current year.
