Notice of Availability for the Rubicon Trail Draft Environmental Impact Statement.
Basically, the powers that be are trying to figure out how to move forward. There are five (5) alternatives from do nothing to seasonal closures regarding routes, outhouses and bridges.
I'm sure the different OHV organizations will soon come out with the alternative they support. With just a brief reading, I'm thinking it should be alt 4.

The Notice of Availability (NOA) for the Rubicon Trail Easement and Resource Improvement Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) will be published in the Federal Register Friday, December 9, 2011. Copies of the Rubicon Trail Easement and Resource Improvement DEIS can be obtained from the Eldorado National Forest website at
. I have selected Alternative 3 as my preferred alternative. I am interested in your comments on the DEIS concerning the alternatives and analysis.
