This run will be limited to the first 50 vehicles that sign up. This run can be done by all vehicle types, but long wheelbase vehicles will have difficulty in some spots. At least a limited slip is required, one hard locker is recommended. The trail has rock crawling sections with good-sized rocks, several rocky canyons, a few tight squeezes, some off-cambers, and several loose hill climbs. Some of the more difficult spots have bypasses, but two do not. Body damage is possible, breakage has happened in the past. There is a rock pile obstacle at the beginning of the trail. If you have trouble here, you will want to consider returning to camp and running the Blue Moon run. The Blue Moon run will start at 9:00am and will line-up near camp. Trail leaders will be checking all vehicles in line and talking to the owners of questionable vehicles.

This run is limited to the first 25 that sign up and is open to long and short wheelbase vehicles with at least 33” tires, one locker and a lift. Not for oversized vehicles or Stock SUV’s, weather and erosion have increased the difficulty of these historic roads. Body damage, scrapes and scratches are possible. 22 miles of pavement driving from Slash X to trail head, where we will air down. The trail heads up Doran Canyon that has challenging waterfalls to climb that will definitely test a driver’s ability. We will be stopping to check out the Bismarck Mine area and then heading down Odessa Canyon where again driver’s ability will be tested with very tight canyon passes and narrow shelf roads.
