Taking care of the trails
Members and volunteers from Esprit de Four and Granite Bandits 4-Wheel Drive Clubs got together for an adopt-a-trails weekend on June 12-13, 2020 on the Mattley Loop & Ridge Trail and Corral Hollow Trail.
We had 22 members/volunteers helping clear downed trees and shoveling snow (yes, I said snow) to clear trails for public use.
The trails are located near Arnold, California around 6,400’ elevation so snow and downed trees are expected. Groups of members and volunteers cleared a total of 37 trees this year.
Due to COVID-19 and practicing social distancing we were not allowed to have a group meal for the volunteers this year. I was sorry we couldn’t.
I do want to again thank every one of our club members and volunteers who took time out of their schedules to help during adopt-a-trail weekend. Thank you, volunteers — you’re the best.
