Gary Coleman December 1948 – November 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and dedicated and loyal club member. Gary was easy going, very friendly and would do anything for anyone. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania moving to California with the Air Force, he then became a Sacramento County Probation Officer for 28 years. He was a proud father and loved his two grandsons. He was a friend of the Goat’s for 6 years before becoming a 20-year member. He served as 1st Vice President in 2018 and served as our President in 2019 and 2020. He was a frequent Trailmaster with some of his favorite trails being Cody Meadows and Hell Hole during the Grand Four-Wheel Drive Excursion and Epicurean Extravaganza. He was awarded Participant of the Year as well as the Rob Irvine Four-Wheeler of the Year awards. He was also an avid sports fan and cheered for the 49ers and SF Giants. His happy place was hunting, four-wheeling, and camping with his friends of which there were many. Around the campfire looking into the nighttime sky, he could easily name every constellation. He was fun! He will be dearly missed by his club The Capital City Mountain Goat Four Wheel Drive Club.
He was laid to rest at the California Valley National Cemetery in Dixon on 12/21/2022 with military honors and there will be a Celebration of Life on 3/11/2023 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at Arden Park. All are welcome to attend.
