Run Report: Panamint Valley Days 2019

Had a great time at Panamint Valley Days (PVD) this year. I invited my dad to join me and he was excited to go. He is not in to four-wheeling, but he enjoys getting out and doing things with me when he can. This was his second time to PVD, and he loved it. Last year I took my 02 WJ and we ran some mild/scenic trails, this year I brought my 4Runner that is set-up for more rugged trail conditions.

I asked my dad if he was okay driving around without doors and running harder trails and he was on board with whatever trails I wanted to run. The Lookout/Sunset run was fun with amazing views at the top. We headed to Isham on Saturday but one of the Jeeps in our group had catastrophic failure, so we spent most of the day getting him off the trail.

Sunday, we stuck around and ran Defense Mine/Cummings Cutoff, my dad had a blast. He was amazed that a "street legal" vehicle could go where we go. He said the photos I send him do not do the obstacles justice. I want to thank Cal4Wheel for putting on such a fun event and look forward to other events throughout the years.
